Low Frequency Sound Projector

GeoSpectrum’s M21 benders, or flexural disk transducers, are highly versatile underwater acoustic projectors that produce moderate power over broadband and high power near resonance. M21’s come in a variety of sizes serving a wide range of resonance frequencies and bandwidths. GeoSpectrum can custom design M21’s to be tailored for each customer’s unique requirements such as resonance frequency, bandwidth, or depth capability.

M21’s are excellent options to be combined into multi-bender sources that are highly customizable to a customer’s requirement. M21’s can be used in a Modular Project System (MPS) to produce greater power and bandwidth at even lower frequencies, or in conventional arrays to produce a directive, high-power source.

GeoSpectrum’s benders can be used for a variety of different low-frequency applications, including, but not limited to subsea communication, long range data transmission, and active sonar.
