NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA, MAY 2018 – GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. (GTI) announces the award from STX Engine Co. to deliver a full, end-to-end, Underwater Sound Source System (USSS) and software package for eventual delivery to the ROK Navy.
The USSS consists of an acoustic projector body, winch, handling package and power amplifier and will be used to test sonar systems for the ROK Navy’s Harbor Underwater Surveillance System.
As explained by GTI, the system has the capability to generate flexible, designated echo return and/or noise source characteristics similar to real-world targets and payloads. This provides robust, diversified acoustic noise generation to support acoustic systems and trials.
